About Field Experience

The University of Alberta offers a number of mandatory and optional field experiences which are exciting opportunities for both student teachers and mentor teachers. Field experiences provide student teachers with the opportunity to develop skills, strategies, and professional identity within a school.

Mentor teachers play a vital role as they provide leadership to support student teachers through their enthusiasm and passion for teaching.

This partnership helps to develop highly capable teachers to support our province’s students.
